Today’s earthquake off Peru’s central coast sent people in cities badly damaged by a killer quake four years earlier running panicked into the streets. There were no reports of damage or injuries.

According to the USGS,  the temblor was centered 31 miles (51 km) SSW of Ica, which suffered widespread damage in the 2007 quake.

Today’s quake struck at a depth of 21.7 miles (35 km), said the USGS, whereas the killer 2007 quake, which killed 596 people, was 24 miles (39 km) deep.
