25 volcanoes in Indonesia showing signs of abnormal activity
“Alertness and readiness of the people must continue to be maintained,” says presidential special aide Andi Arief.
“According to official data, 25 volcanoes are now under alert or watch status and they must be given priority with regard to disaster mitigation planning at district or city levels,” said Andi. In West Sumatra there were two volcanoes that need to be closely watched, namely Mount Marapi and Mount Talang, as they are still under alert status.
Priority attention is also being given to Mt Papandayan, Mt Karangetan, Mt Lokon, M Ijen, Mt Gamalama, Mt Krakatau and Mt Lewoloto.

Individually, all these volcanoes pose a risk.
Unusual to have so many dangerous volcanos active simultaneously.
Krakatau is always dangerous though.
I agree. It’s like if there is a strong radial pressure everywhere forcing a great number of the active volcanoes to wake up simultaneously.
I believe there is a connection with the Magnetosphere.
ok- I know..it wouldn’t be a good thing…
spectacular
BUT
i can’t help imagine what a string of them all going off at once would look like from skylab..
Unusual number of eruptions in the last 12 months, but no big one so far.
I believe the greatest was Grímsvötn in Iceland last May.
