“Due to the unseasonably chilly winter weather, Turkey broke a natural gas consumption record on Jan. 16, consuming 178 million cubic meters of natural gas.”

Energy Ministry officials said that people have consumed more electricity leading to a strain on the natural gas conversion plants, which convert natural gas to electricity.

“Our citizens need not be concerned,” said Turkey’s state-run pipeline company Botaş’ Executive Board Director and General Manager Fazıl Şenel. “There is no likelihood of natural gas being shut down in either residential or industrial establishments.”

We’re having a quite mild one in Western Europe, so it’s balancing itself out over the globe. Last year we had a really, really cold one……

The AGW position is that the warming is global – we’re ALL supposed to be warm and free of that cold white stuff! Otherwise it’s just weather.
