Record snowfall strands 100 in India

After Saturday’s record snowfall, more than 100 tourists on their way to Himachal Pradesh in Northern India are reportedly stuck at Dalhousie, Khajjiar and Chamba.

Chamba Deputy Commissioner Shrab Negi said the entire Chamba district had experienced moderate to heavy snowfall since Saturday. The road link to Dalhousie and Chamba remained cut off due to heavy snowfall near Banikhet.

Efforts were underway to clear the snow on the road to Chamba and Dalhousie.
