“The CO2 Lies … pure fear-mongering … should we blindly trust the experts?”
That’s what Germany’s leading daily, Bild, wrote in its print and online editions just two days ago (see photo on right), on the very day that renowned publisher Hoffmann & Campe officially released a major climate skeptical book, Die kalte Sonne (The Cold Sun) – written by a prominent socialist and environmental figure, Professor Dr. Fritz Vahrenholt.
Prof Vahrenholt’s skepticism began when he was asked to review an IPCC report on renewable energy. He found hundreds of errors. When he pointed them out, IPCC officials simply brushed them aside. Stunned, he asked himself, “Is this the way they approached the climate assessment reports?”

“Please keep up the good work,” says Neil. “I have enjoyed your books, and have passed them on to others when done.”
Even in the face of the exaggerated IPCC claims (lies might be a better word), one of Vahrenholt’s big concerns seems to be “that if citizens discover that the people who warn of a climate disaster are only telling half the truth, they will no longer be prepared TO PAY HIGHER ELECTRICITY COST for wind and solar (energy). Then the conversion of our energy supply will lack the necessary acceptance.”
Even in the face of the exaggerated IPCC claims, Vahrenholt thinks “we still have to reduce CO2 emissions through WORLDWIDE EMISSIONS TRADING.
Not exactly comforting words.
