Global warming causes snow and volcanoes

By Don Surber

Everything proves global warming to the true believers.

If it floods, that proves global warming.

If it doesn’t rain, that proves global warming.

If it is warm, that proves global warming.

If it is cold, that proves global warming.

And if everything proves it — nothing does really.

Now we have this nonsense from the Telegraph:

Climate change means autumn levels of sea ice have dropped by almost 30 percent since 1979 — but this is likely to trigger more frequent cold snaps such as those that brought blizzards to the UK earlier this month. And Arctic sea ice could be to blame. Dr Jiping Liu and colleagues studied the extensive retreat of the ice in the summer and its slow recovery focusing on the impacts of this phenomenon on weather in the Northern Hemisphere. Information about snow cover, sea level pressure, surface air temperature and humidity was used to generate model simulations for the years 1979-2010. The researchers say dramatic loss of ice may alter atmospheric circulation patterns and weaken the westerly winds that blow across the North Atlantic Ocean from Canada to Europe.

It is inane. These bureaucratic PhDs — they are not scientists but rather government grants writers — have a tin ear. When the public hears people like Jiping Liu spout this bunkum, people roll their eyes and suppress a giggle.

By the way, wasn’t 1979 in the midst of several bad winters in a row? We were told global cooling caused all that snow.

See the rest of this great article, including the drivel from Bill McGuire, professor of geophysical and climate hazards at University College London, saying that “a changing climate can persuade the ground to shake, volcanoes to rumble and tsunamis to crash on to unsuspecting coastlines.”

“I think I hear the theme song to Twilight Zone,” says Surber.

“This must be a parody.”

“But it is not. Just the biggest con job around.”

What is really amazing about global warming is that it causes “green energy sprouts” which take the place of green food sprouts, as well as higher temperatures that require more A/C, but no energy to support the A/C, as well as, as we can tell, more cold that requires more energy for heating, but theres no energy to support the heating. But that’s okay because man can merely increase his calorie intact and generate his own body heat underneath layers of clothing, but “green energy sprouts” have taken the place of the green food sprouts, so there is no food to supply that increased caloric intake. Seems like we just want to get rid of people, not climate chaos. As I said in a different comment, if you really want to get rid of people, just line them up and shoot them. You don’t have to put them through hell by starvation or freezing or injecting them with the latest tailor made virus to do a slow kill so as to make it look “natural.” This is all about population reduction. Later on there will be strict population control where only the “right” genes are retained in the geen pool.

The really funny thing about the AGW con is that the “true believers” call opponents “deniers”.

Only a blind fool could miss the “Inconvenient Truth” that it is the true believers who are the deniers – they deny reality with their ludicrous theory which has NO substantiated evidence to support it.

They got the whole basis for their theory wrong by missing the really obvious fact that during the day the atmosphere acts to reduce the heating effect of the solar radiation – not add heat as they idiotically claim.

    Is there any proof ??

You betcha – because without an atmosphere to REDUCE the heating effect of the solar radiation the Earth would be subjected to temperatures like the Moon – about 120 degrees C.

After all, both the Earth and Moon are subject to the same intensity of solar radiation so CLEARLY Earth’s atmosphere REDUCES the heating impact.

Only a real DENIER could argue that isn’t true !!

So the real “deniers” are actually the “true believers” who deny reality in favour of their pet “religion”.

Complete list of things “caused” by global warming (So far)

Some Very good essays on the rest of the site too !

The global warming freaks would like you to drink your koolaid and be quiet!!!

  5. Steven Rowlandson says:

We need a tax to be levied all over the earth on all people who profess belief in AGW. This tax should be 10% of personal income per annum and collected by national governments for the purpose of national debt redemption in the nation the AGW believer resides in. If you can’t weed out or educate the heretics then you must make them usefull to society. Is this going too far or am I on to something?

  6. Steve says:

Big source of hot air discovered! It’s politicians in Washington being fed with millions of dollars in money by Global Warming lobbyists.

    • spepper says:

Yes, which was CONFISCATED from us TAXPAYERS. STOP THE MADNESS, THIS NOVEMBER. THROW THEM ALL OUT.

  7. David Thomas Bronzich says:

Misquote at the beginning of the article; reads biggest con job around, should read “most inane con job around”!

  8. David Kane says:

    @Steven Rowlandson

I’m sure you don’t mean it to be so, but as far as “Is this going too far or am I on to something?” is, yes, to far.

To far because your statement reads like some manifestos I’ve read from the Warmists (I personally prefer to use the term Watermelons as it is more encompassing of their politics).

Finally – you’d be to late anyway. Your suggestion is already being applied to us here in Australia – only in the reverse. “Carbon Tax”. An erroneous title. It should be called “CO2 Tax” – but then it’d be harder to label it “pollution” and that’d hinder their justifications to the plebs they salivate over ruling.

  9. Laurel says:

the ref to a chinese? name commenting…I rather think it should be Ly Tin Wheedle..a pratchett character.
actually if only Terry Pratchet would do a novel incorporating the warmists.
be a top seller and poke the fun so richly deserved at em:-)
they are well past the stage anyone can keep a straight face as they announce assinine statements like the above!
so lets all give them the laughter they so richly deserve:-)

  10. william says:

    “may or may not”

spent some time on the NSIDC website, they mostly attribute ice melt to natural causes. Only in press releases does the dreaded greenhouse gases etc appear.

Un predicts inevitable massive population increase even in Africa, this only happens with a favourable climate for agriculture.

  11. ES says:

Try telling the people of Baker Lake, and several other places, in the Canadian Arctic, about global warming this morning. Wind chills of -60C.

    Warnings
    Baker Lake
    2:45 AM CST Friday 02 March 2012
    Wind chill warning for
    Baker Lake continued

Wind chills of minus 55 to minus 60 today.

Brisk northwest winds gusting to 50 or 60 km/h over much of the Kivalliq combined with temperatures in the minus 35 to minus 40 range will produce wind chill values of 55 to minus 60 today across the warning area. At these extreme wind chill values frostbite on exposed skin may occur in less than 2 minutes. The gusty winds and cold temperatures will also produce occasional blowing snow with visibilities reduced below 1 kilometre at times. Winds are expected to weaken tonight.

  12. Fran says:

I don’t pay attention to these people anymore, I don’t care what they say because *I know* they’re FOS. I don’t need more proof than what has been happening worldwide in the recent years.
When the new Ice Age begins, probably with the next grand solar minimum that’s starting now, it will also be due to GW and blablabla …
    I just don’t care anymore.:-)

  13. randy forbess says:

You are all wrong with your theories of the ice age. You are sheep being led by a pack of science hating and Al Gore hating zealots. Look at recent weather in the USA. Last summer was baking, record breaking heat and desert like conditions in much of the country. No real winter this winter and hardly any snow. Now, go ahead and attack me with my “different” view. History is proving me right and you wrong. It’s good to be on the right side of history rather than the side of charlatans and fakes, not to mention outright liars. PS: the world is round.

  14. Keith says:

randy forbess Theres no question the Conusa was warmer then normal and less snower this winter. But there was alot of places that saw cold and snows this winter such as Alaska. This warm pattern this winter in the usa was releted to a very strong postive phase of the nao and AO.Not because of global warming.Last winter and the winter before we had a very strong negative nao AO which brought cold and snowey condtions to the usa.

  15. TED says:

The bottom line really is that the idea that climate never changes or should not change is a myth. Climate does change. It always has and it always will. Of course we should be good stewards of the Earth and strive to reduce pollution but the climate will continue to change regardless of the activities of humans.
