Just wanted to make sure that you see Poldar’s comment. He said, “If you look at Mount Rainier total snow fall records from 1915-2012 you will see this is a pretty big deal.
Granted it is not a HUGE deal.
Mt Rainier has had up to 47.5″ of snowfall in 1 year during June before in the past.
in 68 years between 1915 and 2012..Mt Rainier has recorded some measurable snowfall in the month of June…..meaning there are 38 years of no recorded snow in the month of June
The avg snowfall for Mt Rainier in June is 5.95″…14″ of snow this month would be well within their top 8 of all time snowiest Junes.
We see the frequency of measureable snow increasing since 1980. of the 38 years of no June recorded snow on Mt Rainier…only 5 of those years happened after 1980
1970-1984 are the most consecutive Junes with recorded snow fall…with 1997-2005 being the second higest consecutive Junes with recorded snowfall…and 1985-1990 being the 3rd highest consecutive Junes with recorded snowfall

I would not be surprised if the date on the Maya calendar, shows the peak of solar cycle 24? If I look at the current trend it might be so. The new era according to their calendar is a cold era then and we should invest in food rather……
The question is did the snow from last melt on Mt. Rainer. If it didn’t and Mt Rainer erupts you are talking about a mega disaster with all that snow pack.
