     Belfast, July 23rd. The rain has been falling steadily for 24 hours now. We happen to be underneath an almost stationary weather front which has been wringing out every drop of its water on top of us. Ireland’s grass has never looked so green.

   Cute. But you don’t have to go to Singapore. I think St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A. is closer and they’ve got more summer there than you will want.
