Record low temps in Fiji
“We are in hoodies and boots in Fiji,” says reader. “Record lows across the country this week.”
Adverse weather conditions currently experienced in the country sees Suva record its coldest temperature in recent times of 18 degrees.
This is the second lowest temperature recorded in Fiji. The lowest of 14.5 degrees, according to the Nadi Weather Office was recorded in Monasavu last night. The highest temperature of 19 degrees today was recorded in Nadi.
The chilly weather gripping the country is expected to continue into the weekend.

Are You Prepared?

I recommend this DVD

Break out the parkas LOL!. Seriously though, that is pretty cool for that region.
Isn’t Fiji one of the islands predicted to be inundated by sea level rise?
Of course those are Celsius readings. But for an equatorial land in the midst of the West Pac warm pool, that is quite chilly. People don’t know how to cope.
The heading seems to be misleading on purpose. We are talking about overnight lows not daytime highs. I know this is a bit cool for Fiji, but these are not record lows.
