Why The Earth Is Cooling – CO2 Warming Only A Tenth Of What Models Show!

(Excerpts) – The Climate Team has always claimed that a doubling of CO2 would add 3.7 Watts/m2 to the global climate budget and fry us all. This fate is their religion’s version of Hell, except we will all suffer rather than just the “sinners,” thus giving them leverage to force us to do their will.
Though bloggers have pointed out many locations that are cooling rather than warming, the warmists would have us believe that these cooling stations are just due to local phenomenon, such as albedo change, land use, site moves, or other changes, and that the warming stations are not due to UHI.
Last year, Willis Eschenbach took a look at Modtran, a program developed by the US Air Force that analyzes the IR spectrum transmitted by the atmosphere. Willis noted that none of the latitude selections would give a CO2 doubling figure higher than 3.2 Watts/m2. He didn’t notice that the default settings in the program include a setting for water vapor at a pressure setting of 1. Any water vapor in the spectrum will lower the CO2 doubling figure.
At 50% humidity, and our current CO2 value, we get a tiny 0.188 W/m2, far, far below the IPCC favored value. This is all before the additional factors of clouds and rain, which will drop the value even further, into the negative territory that Willis noticed here. The blue triangle in the chart and the blue value in the table are the current values with today’s CO2 and global average humidity.
There has been a more than 1 Watt/m2 increase in outbound radiation since 1948 despite rising CO2.
Humidity has been decreasing in the upper atmosphere over the last 60 years. That offsets the rising CO2. We saw the cooling in the 70’s but increased solar radiation along with ocean cycles held off the cooling over the last 20 years. That period has now come to an end.
Mother Earth has an excellent thermostat system. Even if somehow average humidity should increase to 50% and CO2 goes to 1000 ppm, only about 2 Watts/m2 will be added. This is unlikely in the extreme, and would add a small fraction of a degree to warming. No one would notice.
My question is: Why have the professional “climatologists” not done the simple work that I did on a lazy Saturday afternoon with my laptop? They must know that water vapor nearly wipes out CO2 in warming the Earth, and that clouds and albedo do the rest. What’s their excuse for this massive “oversight”?

Considering that no amount of CO2 can lead to any warming, there is more than an oversight at play. A complete disconnect between physics and thermodynamics. Any and all gases can only cause one physical reaction: cooling of incoming solar as well as cooling of the surface, water and ground included. Ascribing a warming role to CO2 or any other gas in the open-to-space atmosphere is a misunderstanding of thermodynamics. What happens in a bottle in a lab can not be extrapolated to the open atmosphere, simple as that.
Too bad, I was hoping for GW here in Upstate NY.
The new Berkley UC study bases their claim that the warming is due to humans by simple correlation: temperature rise and gas increase.
I remember that one book I read had a chart associating increase in chemical pesticide and cases of polio. Strangely, that correlation did not get the media hype.
We must not forget that the whole AGW scamm started with the only idea and that’s to make money!

I agree that CO2 can’t affect the temperature. I haven’t seen any group or organization on the warming side show the mechanism where less than 500 parts (Methane, CO2, etc combined) can affect the temperature of more than 999,500 others. It is like a candle in a warehouse can effectively heat the whole warehouse. I bet there are thousands of HVAC engineers who would like to see that happen!
Although the CO2 greenhouse effect may be diminished by watervapor as I understand it, watervapor itself is a far stronger greenhouse gas than CO2, so with increased humidity that’s in fact a worse greenhouse scenario than before !
There are two reasons why this non science science is endlessly promoted.
Reason #1: The environmental movement was chosen many years ago as the main avenue to achieve total global control by the New World Order crowd. After the release of the Climategate 11 emails, one email from a World Bank executive to Phil Jones of the CRU East Anglia told Mr. Jones that the AGW agenda will continue regardless of the science. This statement is crystal clear, hence the non stop barrage of junk science.
Reason #2: To finance the propaganda, the NWO located in Europe, and North America offer grants and donations to the useful idiot ‘scientists’ to spread the disinformation. Don’t expect any change soon, if ever.
