Senator Inhofe Says Global Warming Alarmist Movement Has Collapsed – Video
Unfortunately, I disagree. The global warming movement has extended it’s deadly stranglehold into almost every facet of American life.
For the first time in 3 years, the Senate held a hearing on the science of global warming.
Inhofe in his opening statement stated:
I must say it feels like we’re back to the good old days. It may be hard to believe, but it was in February of 2009, during the height of the global warming alarmist movement, that this committee last held a hearing on global warming science. Back then we heard promises from the Obama administration of a clean energy revolution with green jobs propped up by billions in taxpayer dollars to companies like Solyndra. What came of all those promises? The global warming movement has completely collapsed and cap-and-trade is dead and gone.

The media is still supporting the global warming movement.
Example:
http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2012/08/congress-climate-change/
“The scientists did not support Inhofe’s claims.”
Dr. John Christy also didn’t get a media attention. Using his name in Google’s NEWS search showed 256 stories. Most of stories have the headline “New study links current events to climate change”
You are right – it’s not over until … (your guess is as good as mine)
Hi,
It couldn’t be further from the truth. We are entering a ice age.It will happen sooner than later
Politicians like Obama like the global warming scare. Anything for an excuse to centralize more power and control. The ecogreens are being offered a huge government fraud to alleviate their misguided fear of global warming. Nothing the politicians have offered will make more than a slight dent in carbon emissions while vastly expanding government. Inhofe is only half right. While cap and trade died for now the EPA has decided that CO2 is pollution.
I don’t know about an full scale Ice Age, but we are heading for colder times thats for sure.
nice bloke, honest as I guess they get:-)
however he seriously needs some training in speaking and holding peoples attention.
which is how grandstanding showmen like the goracle manage to get attention.
he sounds (gore) like he knows it all, the fact he doesnt, escapes most.
Inhofe needs to tell the truth as he is trying to, but with some passion and force.he waffled too much, wasted a good op to really hit home.
It was just a couple of days ago that NASA scientist James Hansen was spewing out his statistical nonsense blaming everything on global warming. I think the demise of the agw alarmist movement is greatly exagerated.

The Global Warming Movement, sustainability, being green, carbon trading, alternative energies with EROEI’s < 1. These are all metastasized versions of the cancer of Communism and Socialism. Nothing more; nothing less.
Think of the trillions of dollars wasted on this nonsense. What better way to kill Capitalism.
Believe it or not there is a huge crop failure due to drought right now and the Pacific Northwest is one of a few places unaffected.
It sure feels like Global Warming here in Oregon! Salem just broke their record high Saturday.
The high for Saturday was 103F with the old record 99F from 1932 and it was still 75F at midnight!
We almost had thunderstorms yesterday but they fell apart and didn’t have the umph to hold together.
Models are in agreement for another major heatwave this weekend.
Note: 100F in August is very rare while it happens from time to time in July.
However we have plenty of water so this heatwave is well deserved after all the gloomy crap we had to put up this winter/spring and even thru the middle of July.
It was looking like we wre NOT going to have a summer while the middle of the USA continues to bake and bake.
Warming in just the US does not prove GW. Correlation does not imply causation.
Also, your ‘record breakers’ were broken in 1936. Check your facts, buddy.
Now what I want to know is why is there such a stubbern high pressure for much of the US?
Every time it goes away it just keeps popping back up as if something is fueling it to not make it really leave.
Now it’s finally retrograding westward which I wonder what it means for winter if this continental High Pressure air mass is kicked outta there for good.
The only thing I can think of is unusual geomagnetic energy under the axis which would create TONS of heat from below.
Then when you get tons of heat from below it creates a small but permanent high pressure which doesn’t go away unless a major pattern shift happens but the HP will always keep trying to come back until the magnetic activity slows or stops all together.
I don’t know any of this for sure and am pulling this from my ass.
I think Sen. Inhofe is overly optimistic. In fact I’d say the global warming movement is experiencing a bit of a revival with the convenient onset of a hot year in the US. But alas it will cool down again in the future so I wouldn’t get too worried. The NY Times had an interesting OpEd last week where the author indicated the environmental movement better sieze the moment before a blizzard comes along and changes everybody’s minds.
I’d say that they’ve gotten desperate. They’re losing the argument and still will do anything to keep the idea that there is a threat.
