A tsunami warning was issued for the region after a 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the Philippines, the U.S. Geological Survey and the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.

The quake was centered off the east coast of the Philippines at a depth of about 20 miles, USGS said.

    Why do U.S.G.S and E.M.S.C ALWAYS downplay the Strenght of BIG earthquakes!? First it´s like 8,6 but then downgraded to like 6,8. I do NOT trust them! I smell a fish!
