Heavy snowfall, cold, kill 15 in Eastern Europe
Croatia hit by the worst winter storm since 1955.
Dear mister Felix,
“Death toll because of heavy snowfall in Europe has risen to 15, but not a word about this on Dutch television,” says reader Argiris Diamantis.
The severe cold snap pulled down the mercury to minus 20 degrees Celsius, killing seven people in the Czech Republic, four in Croatia and two in Serbia last weekend.
A maximum of 110 centimeters (43 inches) of snow fell in the Balkan Peninsula. Local media reported that Croatia was hit by the worst winter storm since 1955.

No comment about bad weather in Europe on British TV
Why news always say “cold snap” or in this case “severe cold snap”, never winter storm. When cold weather becomes winter storm or a blizzard? But in summer you get a few days or heat or no rain and it becomes a severe drought brought by AGW.
What would become of us if suddenly this winter or the next goes and last until June with big piles of snow everywhere?
Looks like a repeat of last years weather and how deep will the snow get this winter? Last year it buried whole houses, shut down all transportation, froze rivers. I don’t think government is will to tell how many really died.
You would wonder what they blamed the severe winters of 1947 and 1962/63 on…no mention of AGW then I’m sure.
