Wausau doubles previous snowfall record
Wausau received 10.9 inches of snow Thursday, breaking the previous record of 5.4 inches for Dec. 20 set in 2004, according to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, Wisconsin
As of Thursday, Wausau has received 18.6 inches of snow this season, 1.4 inches above normal for this date, according to the weather agency.
Wausau had only 8.9 inches of snow as of this date last year.
