After snowfall brought the town to a standstill, major roads out of Buckingham were gridlocked with stationary traffic on Friday afternoon.

Vehicles crawled along the A421 towards Bletchley while on the A413 southbound, vehicles were failing to get up the icy incline to Padbury.

And on Moreton Road, some drivers abandoned their vehicles after failing to get up the hill.

“As the snow was persistent, a lot of people decided to travel home just after lunchtime so there were a lot of vehicles on the road at one time, adding to the congestion.

“Clearly cars cannot travel at their usual speed when it is snowing,” said a spokesman for Transport for Bucks (TfB).

I think you’ll find that the temperatures have warmed sufficiently within 48 hours that all this snow has melted.

Right now i live in Saudi Arabia one of the hottest places on earth this winter has been colder than usual and some areas got snow and was below -10C.If the world isn’t cooling then what is?

This sudden rise of temp is the warm air being pulled north by the cold air next week the temp is due to drop again with more snow. The UK have only seen a sample of what is to come. No one in the UK has seen a winter like the one we are about to have. I predict headlines much like what is allready happened in Russian Federation,Ukaine. It will hit us harder because we are not prepared like they are for hard winters. I hope Im wrong.
