Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Saturday forecast severe cold wave will continue over upper parts of Baluchistan, KP and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In fact, cold weather will cover most parts of the country during next few days.

Met office further reported that continental air is prevailing over most part of the country while shallow western wave is prevailing over northern areas. This has caused extremely low temperature in those areas.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, isolated light rain/snow likely in different parts of Malakand division.

Met office has forecast lowest temperature as: Islamabad 0°C, Karachi 7°C, Lahore 01°C, Quetta -11°C, Peshawar 0°C, Multan 1°C, Faisalabad 0°C, Murree -3°C, Sialkot 3°C, Rawalpindi 1°C with dry and cold weather.

Minimum temperature recorded in different parts of the country was: Skardu 13°C, Astore 12°C, Quetta and Kalam 11°C, Hunza and Parachinar 10°C, Gilgit 08°C, Dalbandin, Dir and Malamjabba 06°C, Rawalakot 05°C, Drosh and Bunji 04°C, Sibbi, Chitral and Murre 03°C.
