Temperatures will average 15 to 20 degrees below normal through at least Wednesday.

NOAA News:

A potent cold front that surged across New Mexico Friday with strong gusty winds and areas of light snow will usher in a prolonged blast of well below normal temperatures through early next week.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) explains that a large upper level trough of low pressure taking shape over the western United States will remain nearly stationary over the region through early next week.

Temperatures will average 15 to 20 degrees below normal through at least Wednesday.

While no record breaking low temperatures are expected, this prolonged period of sub-freezing temperatures will increase demand on natural resources and increase the potential for damage to exposed plumbing.

Those with agricultural interests across the region should also take precautions to provide additional care for livestock during extended sub-freezing temperatures.

Domesticated animals should be taken indoors or be provided adequate shelter. For more information, visit http://www.weather.gov/abq

    SOME BASICS OF MARINE CLIMATOLOGY

“The atmosphere cannot warm until the underlying surface warms first. The lower atmosphere is transparent to direct solar radiation, preventing it from being significantly warmed by sunlight alone. The surface atmosphere thus gets its warmth in three ways: from direct contact with the oceans; from infrared radiation off the ocean surface; and, from the removal of latent heat from the ocean by evaporation. Consequently, the temperature of the lower atmosphere is largely determined by the temperature of the ocean.

The greenhouse radiation from the atmosphere affects only the top few millimeters of the ocean. Water just a few centimeters deep receives none of the direct effect of the infrared thermal energy from the atmosphere! Further, it is in those top few millimeters in which evaporation takes places. So whatever infrared energy may reach the ocean as a result of the greenhouse effect is soon dissipated.”

They CO2 story is a scam. More and more people ‘experience’ the lie, and ‘those in power’ no longer can use it to take over control, ‘they’ have a problem. People discover that their government is nothing more than a criminal gang. That’s why they are in a hurry to get your guns.

MONDAY: Los Angeles sees record low as cold front maintains grip. San Joaquim Valley, growers head for 5th cold night of freezing temps. Mandarin and lettuce crops threatened.

“The area provides much of the nation’s leafy greens during the winter, and farmers are reporting damage to many romaine and iceberg lettuce crops. The cold is freezing the heads of the lettuce and affecting the quality and yield, Nolte said.

The price for a carton of lettuce in Yuma two weeks ago was $7 to $8. As of Monday, it cost around $20 per carton, he said.”

Any farmer leaving their livestock out in the elements will lose them to hypothermia. Domestic pets are especially vulnerable.
