A leaked report by a United Nations’ group dedicated to climate studies says that heat from the sun may play a larger role than previously thought.

“[Results] do suggest the possibility of a much larger impact of solar variations on the stratosphere than previously thought, and some studies have suggested that this may lead to significant regional impacts on climate,” reads a draft copy of a major, upcoming report from the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

‘The main premises and conclusions of the IPCC story line have been undercut by the IPCC itself,’ says the man who leaked the report, StopGreenSuicide blogger Alec Rawls. “The public needs to know.”

  1. Alex says:

I’ve been watching Sun’s activity daily in the last tree weeks and it’s very low; and in this period maximum sunspots number was 50, with no strong flares, quiet basically. We are slipping into solar maximum, sunspots number should be around 200 or more with strong flares.
The evidence of cooling are clear, record growth ice in Antarctica last summer, record ice growth in the Arctic and more and more broken records for cold and snow in the lower latitude. It’s clear where we are heading….

  2. Steven Rowlandson says:

I guess that means that the climate scientists and astro physicists are officially not crazy after all.
So when does Al Gore and Dr. David Suzuki go on their global tour to apologize to all the scientists that were smeared with the label AGW denier?

  3. C. Peter Davis says:

Oh, the claptrap the global warmist nutbars come up with. Hasn’t the Sun ALWAYS warmed Earth and the other planets in our Solar System? That’s what I was taught in elementary school. The Earth never warms my face only the Sun. I’ve never had an Earthburn only Sunburns.

  4. Cliffhild says:

    —what global warming???

  5. Theo says:

    Oh they do now……..!
    That’s nice of you UN!!!

  6. Kevin K says:

The IPCC is only about 50 years behind the rest of us. I look forward to the day they drop LP’s for CD’s or at least cassette tapes.

  7. Pat says:

You mean the sun actually makes the planet warmer?????? Who in their right mind would believe that? Between the sun and worms, it is amazing we are able to not just burn up.

  8. And I thought only CO2 levels affected the temperature, not the sun. CO2 levels apparently go down after sundown, which is why the nights are cooler than the day time. Sunshine has little to do with it, say thousands of political scientists and social scientists. It’s so simple and easy to understand global warming, unless you’re a “denier.”

  9. John says:

Wait! Look up in the sky! Its NOT a bird, its NOT a plane, its the SUN. Its big, hot, & only 0.987 AU away.

The Sun has a radius 100 times the size of Earth. It would take 1.3 million Earths to fill the Sun. The core of the sun is 27,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The Sun accounts for 98% of our solar system’s mass. Every second it converts 700 million tons of hydrogen to helium ashes.

A direct hit from an X Class solar flare could knock out all of the power grids on Earth for many months (until fixed). This is called the “kill shot”.

Yea, so its a safe bet the Sun is responsible for ANY global warming.

  10. Well said, but everyone needs to realise that adding Solar in their home is an purchase that should increase the actual worth of their building if / when they come to a decision to sell. With the environment the way it is going we are unable to disregard any product or service that supplies free power at no cost to both the shopper and more importantly the environment!

I like this analogy. Take something the size of the grand canyon, and fill it with those little yellow plastic balls that are in a kids play area. Then take one person with one red ball representing humanity and drop it in the canyon, this is how much humans effect the weather compared to the sun. One more analogy that makes me smirk. Pretend you are walking down an ocean beach, with hundreds of millions of rocks along the shoreline, and you find a perfectly round stone, do you assume because its perfectly round that it is man made? or is it possible that it is a result of nature. So you make a computer model that shows how this rock could have been made by man, and so therefore it is. hahaha, smirk smirk.
