hmm from memory isnt this the third or fourth year theyve had ice on the citrus and iguanas falling from the trees in florida?
Sunday night around 10pm the frost was starting to form on the roof of my car by sunrise anything exposed was coated in a thick layer of frost. This occurred in North Port, FL (halfway between tampa and ft myers on the gulf coast next to I75) this has only been the second frost of the season and no frozen pipes so far this year. The last few winters have been much worse with consecutive hard freeze nights and days not reaching the 60s. This year we have had a lot of 80+ days, which to me is very disappointing (being as i enjoy cold weather). This is not to say things are in a warming trend since like stated the last few years have been colder than I can remember for swfl. Just hoping to have atleast one more winter blast before the season comes to an end. Forecast for the following week: highs in the low 80s lows in the mid 60s with a front expected midweek.
