Some models are forecasting this!

From meteorologist Chris Bailey of Kentucky Weather:

“I wanted to show you something I have never seen before on a computer model. The NAM is spitting out 40-60 inches (101-152 cm) of snow from this storm in the northeast…”

Here is the forecast snow depth map:

12 Responses to Northeast Blizzard – Five FEET of snow?

  1. Márcio Accioly says:

Dear Robert: if you put that in the metric system it will be easier for your readers from all over the world to understand. Thanks.

  2. dylan says:

If that was 40-60 centimeters it would jive with what everyone else is forecasting. Maybe kyweathercenter has the units wrong.

  3. Mary says:

Mount Washington will get hammered and will see the 5 feet of snow.

  4. Argiris Diamantis says:

Here in the Netherlands, the Main Stream Media (MSM) do not report recent heavy snowfall in Slovakia, Afghanistan, India and Pakistan (or anywhere else in the world). May-be the MSM will have to report about heavy snowfall and blizzards now it is in the USA. As I have come to know the warmist propaganda MSM, they will have a short news item about snowstorms and it will be followed by a longer item about some small heat wave somewhere in a tropical big city with a huge UHI effect in the Southern Hemisphere.

  5. Stephanie says:

1 meter is about 3 feet.

So that’s just under 2 meters.

  6. F. Guimaraes says:

Looks like the Midwest will have its counterpart too:

” ..I got caught in a total whiteout in south Denver last night – it was just about the hardest snow I have ever seen…”

  7. Alex says:

In Romania we have 2 meters of snow, so 5 feet for Canada is not that bad, soon you will see more snow there.

  8. FrankC says:

One inch is 2.54cm. So take the depth in inches and multiply by 2.54 and you get cm. Piece of cake.

  9. Frank says:

The British Daily Mail is running a story about this blizzard – some great pictures. They say some cities are experiencing 1 in a 100 year conditions.

  10. ES says:

The USA has only had 5’ of snow twice before and that was in the west (California and Colorado).

Canada has never had 5’ in a day.

  11. Boo says:

Scary news folks that the US has only ever had five feet of snow twice before. When will it be seven, then eleven feet and more of snow.
Correct me if I am wrong, if this had been a rain storm there would have been between 4 and six inches of rain.

Will there come a time when we will have to all leave the frozen cities of the north; like getting out of Dodge.

Once affulent Northern’s the new refugees. Which country will want these ‘never-to-be displaced’ Climate Change Refugees.

    Won’t happen – Think again!

When we get summer storms with 12 to 16 inches of rain – Beware the following winter.

One week, maybe, just maybe three and food chain has run out of food, then what?

    What will you do?

  12. Argiris Diamantis says:

Piers Corbyn on http://www.weatheraction.com predicts new blizzards:
“FOR USA The implications are also that the simultaneous (with Europe) snowy-blizzardy period next week will be enhanced and NE USA will be hit again next week by another blizzard as bad or even more dangerous than the enormous thunder-snow-blizzard hitting NE USA on Feb 8-9th”.
