More snowfall expected today with gale force winds in some parts turning into blizzard conditions.

UP to 10cm of snow fell in some places overnight with the east of Scotland and Grampian feeling the full effects of the weather.

In March 2000 the notorious climate fraud David Viner, at that time a so-called scientist from the University of East Anglia, made the headlines with his prediction that within a few years, snow would be a thing of the past,” says Argiris. “Children just wouldn’t know what snow was.”(See  http://iceagenow.info/2011/10/snowfalls/)

Now the schools in Great Britain are forced to close in March because of heavy snowfall.

How much snow DOES it take for places like Glasgow and Aberdeen Scotland to close for snow since they are much further north then most of the populated parts of Great Britain.

Does Scotland actually have better snow removal equipment then England?

    Er yes!

Scotland is much better organised than England in this respect.

I once lived in a cottage on a remote back road in the lowlands and when it snowed there was a gritting lorry came around past our cottage every half an hour at night. We couldn’t sleep for yellow flashing lights.

Now back in England the other day I returned from the supermarket on the dual carriageway (four lane freeway) and there were seven cars spun off in the first mile which must have happened while I was shopping. I have seen gritters out about twice in months so we are improving.

Southerners have no idea how to drive in snow. two years back a young woman ploughed into the back of my car. When we talked she said. “I am very sorry but my ABS didn’t work”! In other words it did work but she just drove around like normal expecting the brakes to deal with the snow and ice.

Two years ago I predicted that ALL of Scotland was going to be getting snow and cold and that the events would be BIG!

While I don’t consider 10cm (3″inch) that much snow and if it happens in a region thats not use to getting much snow if any, it can be a serious problem. Sadly teaching how to drive in it will prove futile as they do not understand and will do the wrong thing every time.
