This fits the models perfectly, extreme weather rules again. Or something.

  4. igor says:

This really is big news for the fact its” July” and all these cold low temp records for this month goes unheard on other sources of media, thx to the www, all of us reading upto date articles through iceagenow info know what’s going on. Call me a fool,I’ve been searching all sorts of Clues to anomalies of climate disruption info but other than the Sun which is the prime cause of this climate shift, what triggered the suns low activity? Here is my far fetching opinion…the year of 2002″,C0MET NEAT”out of no where orbit, this newly documented monster shows up,its apparently massive, off the charts…2003 feb,it interacts with our life giving sun and a huge solar flare of plasma is exploded towards “comet neat”.2003 it gets stranger,North East North America, anada, many other States, a massive 2 day blackout,no hydro for 50million people…cause, tree lands on hydro tower in 0hio,0k? The timeline continues, possibly the Suns heavy activity (solar flares)draws these entitys (comets)towards itself by its increased magnetics, attraction drawing in these potential ELES only to be damaged, offset by this massive plasma(electrical)discharge. 2004 the Sun goes quiet and continues, big hype online about “comet neat” is said to have caused the Suns lull…leading to what we have here in these 1200 record lows after 2004,,its been going on forever,coverups,co2 agw falseflag etc, etc.

    • igor says:

5 days after the 2003,comet neat and sun interaction ,it snowed in Jerusalem.Much more eye opening info ,I forgot to post one of the more interesting story links, about what happened a decade ago, really interesting. http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/hercolobus/esp_hercolobus_5.htm

    • F. Guimaraes says:

“… 2004 the Sun goes quiet and continues, big hype online about “comet neat” is said to have caused the Suns lull… “
Do you have a link to confirm this intriguing information? I now know that the Arctic was unusually cold during many months of 2004, but then started to warm up again at the end of the year. E.g., look at the year 2004 in the following link,
      http://ocean.dmi.dk/arctic/meant80n.uk.php
and compare with other years. You’ll see that it was colder than the other years of this century, especially during the summer.

      • igor says:

Yes F. Guimaraes. The info I gathered from credible people on radio program coast to coast Wal Thornhill mentioned obvious collasal size of comet. Prof. James McCaney mentioned this comet. B.B.C news ran a story. Physics prof. Nassim Haramein”they don’t want to talk about it,the science community”Nasa”thought it was all over, Nassim is quoted on youtube video in his opinion. He has a 100thousand +views on youtube. Wiki mentioned comet neat is suspected of causing a disturbance of the Sun”I think just theorized but timeline seems possible”with the year of occurence. And I also read a bunch of online forums about comet neat that were shutdown. The big guys don’t want sheeple to panic I suspect, too much info or truth can hurt modern society. It would show how life is very fragile and at the mercy of the universe basically because these entitys are not dirty snowballs but creators and destroyers from beyond our solar system. Just my 2 cents.http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/hercolobus/esp_hercolobus_5.htm

        • igor says:

Wikipedia I know has credible info here is Comet Neat, they mention about the disturbance of the Sun from the CME that interacted with the entity, take it for what Happened, stranger things can still happen. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/C/2002_V1_(NEAT)

          • igor says:

For the record amateur astronomers were calling foul to the images released from soho, take it for what its worth. In mans short history…false flags, coverups, disinfo, scientific fraud, use of mass media to cause damage to general publics feeble minds throughj sensational storys of anything under the sun. Bottom line is..I don’t know it all ,everyone use their own instincts to figure out fact or fiction. http://www.exopolitics.org/Exo-Comment-3.htm

whats very evident and rather odd is the few warm temps amid the cold on the coast, to the right your east? ones seemingly ocean edge but the two inlnd ones?
have to suspect the weather station or some local warmth generation source surely?
then the tiny band of cool temps across the other side amid the hot spots?
a mountain range or some other cause to have deflected a cold stream there?
    interesting.

we have some fools screaming aus warmest July, next report says we had the wettest July!
and it sure has NOT been hot even warm by recorded temps. 2 pair socks and 3 jumper weather for most of us.

  10. Louis Wienecke says:

This phenomenon was obviously due to the intense cloud cover that blanketed most of the US for the last week or so. If the sun doesn’t come through for days at a time things cool off. Look at all the other days when heat records are established.
We’ve had a relatively easy time here in Florida’s panhandle re temperatures, but the rains have been overbearing at times this year. People say this is the rainiest summer they can remember.

  11. arthuroslund@comcast.net says:

Apparently burning too many BBQ briquettes is causing global cooling. Stop the BBQ’s.

  12. HHD says:

What a fraud! First, look at the week before to see how hot that “cold” region was. 2nd, look at the areas involved and compare it to the number of reporting stations available. The western half of the US was HOT. But there are far fewer reporting stations than in the east. So is it a surprise that the number of cold stations far outnumbers the hot. This data means nothing!

  13. HHD says:

“Awaiting moderation?” Bet this never appears since it’s contrary to the prime message of the website!

    • Robert says:

It awaited moderation because I’m one person working alone, and I sometimes have to sleep. With that said, if you choose to be snotty, I’ll dump you. Life is too short to put up with obnoxious people.

    • Harold says:

As far as the comments I have posted here, I have found Robert to be fair. True, he has thrown out a few things I’ve written, but upon re-reading them, I found they were usually vague, and not really relevant, or repetitive of previous comments. As a writer, when you submit to an editor in any venue, you have to be adult enough to work on the editor’s time frame and play by his/her rules. The editor is the boss, and while you may not always agree with the boss, he is still the boss, and there’s nothing wrong with maintaining courtesy and civility whether you agree or not.

      • Harold says:

PS Some of the comments on youtube videos offer an example of what can happen when there is no moderator and no rules, stated or otherwise. The discussion can quickly degenerate into meaningless drivel, insults, personal attacks, name calling, and obscenities, and any attempt at intelligent communication is lost.

As an israeli I can tell you that this july was the coolest in a decade of record. Even with record cloud cover and high wind activity for the previous summers. We had rain in late April which was very surprising. Love this site and from sun-scorhed Israel an ice age sounds like a positive phenomenon.

  21. HHD says:

Apologies for the moderation comment. I fully understand the need, but given the nature of the data posted I really did not anticipate that a contrary view would be allowed. I have a real problem when little snippets of flawed data like this are used to define a much bigger issue. There is too much data that shows the earth is warming over the longer range to realistically suggest that small, localized data can indicate otherwise. Yes, in the really long range (10s of thousands of years) another ice age is certainly likely. And yes, the current warming trend might be “normal” But even if the human contribution isn’t a big factor, it can’t hurt to do whatever we can to reduce carbon emissions and other stuff if only for a general improvement (or at least lessening damage) to our environment. Those who insist this is all political or financial just have their head in the sand. We just can’t afford the risk of continuing to assume the earth has an infinite capacity to compensate for our irresponsible behaviors

  22. HHD says:

Oh, btw — I only tripped across this site be accident so don’t worry about dumping me. I don’t anticipate being back.

  24. barry says:

A week’s worth of data is just a snapshot. This says nothing about climate change. Ten years or more of record-breakers would give a clearer picture of any trends (result for each year world-wide since 2002 is more all-time record breaking hot days than cool).

I have a question; the answer was not immediately discoverable at hamweather.

Are the record-breakers compared to the corresponding day/week in the temperature record, or are these all-time records? I would expect the former is the case, as it is hardly likely all-time record cold days would occur in summer.

I live in the south of Israel, on the coast. Usually a hot humid area. this year the passion fruit in my garden didn’t turn red and fully ripe, and only a few fruits fell from the plant. last year in mid July we were picking fruits from the ground in bags. When rippened, passion fruits fall from the plant to the ground, and it is a heat-loving plant… Something smells cooler this year for sure.
BTW last night we had to put on long sleeved t-shirts. Never happened before in August.
