A STRONG EARLY SEASON WINTER STORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHEAST WYOMING AND WESTERN NEBRASKA THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY…

WIDESPREAD SNOW…HEAVY AT TIMES. BLUSTERY NORTH AND NORTHEAST WINDS WILL PRODUCE AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW AND VISIBILITIES NEAR ZERO AT TIMES LATE THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY…ESPECIALLY ALONG AND EAST OF INTERSTATE 25. AFTER MILD TEMPERATURES ON THURSDAY… MUCH COLDER TEMPERATURES AND WIND CHILLS WILL OCCUR THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…6 TO 9 INCHES AT LOWER ELEVATIONS WITH 12 TO 16 INCHES OVER THE MOUNTAINS.

* WINDS/VISIBILITIES…NORTH TO NORTHEAST 15 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH PRODUCING NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY AT TIMES IN BLOWING SNOW.

* IMPACTS…DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE BUT THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE ICY AND SNOWPACKED ROADS…DOWNED POWER LINES AND TREE DAMAGE DUE TO THE HEAVY WET SNOW. THE COLD AND WET WEATHER MAY BE HAZARDOUS FOR UNPREPARED HUNTERS AND OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS.
